Feel Good Friday

Life is all about picking the things that make you feel good, and leaving out the rest. That’s why every Friday on Top Morning is Feel Good Friday, when the aim is simply to make everyone happy and bring back the fun into their lives. So from 6:00 am to 11 am today, Double 09 did what she could to put smiles on people’s faces.
As usual, the lines were open for people to call and send in text messages for traffic and weather updates. For today, the traffic in places like: Ojo Baracks, Festac, Marina, Abule Egba, PWD, Airport, Iyana-Ipaja, Alagbado, Mile 2 and Maza Maza wasn’t so smooth this morning. However, the traffic was enviable in places like: Agege, Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Ikeja, Ogolonto, Ojodu Berger, Akute and far away in Jigawa State. The weather was not bad either.
At 8:00pm, it was time to step into the Yarn-Free Zone but today, it was done in a different way. Being ‘Feel Good Friday’, Tosyn made her duty to provide maximum entertainment by playing 5 Naija songs, instead of the normal 3 songs we listen to whenever we’re in the Yarn-Free Zone. This time, we had: Bend down low by Jese Jags; Rock my body by Ashionye; Must be by Dakolo; Aimasiko by Sound Sultan; and U dey run by Kofi. Then it was time for people to make loud shout-outs to the people that mean something to them.
Top 9 Moments with Aramide came up at a few minutes past 9. She came in with some news about Aliko Dangote suing African Petroleum for alleged libel and defamation. He is demanding 2 billion naira for damages. Also, a judge in LA has ordered Nas to pay Kelis and their new born child nearly 44,000 dollars per month after their divorce in April. Next, some scientists from Britain are looking for women that are willing to eat chocolate everyday for a year, to find out if chocolate can cut down the risk of heart disease. Beyonce was also in the news for not writing songs she claims are hers. Finally, the Church of England has begun to offer 2-for-1 service; a wedding for couples and baptisms for their kids.
Tosyn took over at a few minutes past 9 feeding us on the Nigerian nominees for the Channel O Music Video Award. There are lots of Nigerian artistes that were nominated for the awards. We do hope they’ll bring home the trophies. Then she opened the lines for people to let us in on their plans for the weekend. Trust me; there were lots of gists before Tosyn finally let us in on her plans for the weekend, and then dhe signed out at a few minutes to 11.
